ICON Hosts “Know – Act – Transform” Tutorial on Using the City of Springfield Website: Empowering residents with tools to report issues, follow city business, and stay connected

ICON will host an educational community event, presented in partnership with the City of Springfield, the event is designed to help residents learn how to use the city’s online tools to stay informed, get connected, and take meaningful action in their neighborhoods. From reporting local issues to tracking city business, the tutorial will guide attendees through practical, hands-on ways to engage with their community.

“This session is about empowering residents,” said ICON leaders. “We want to ensure community members know where to find information, how to report concerns effectively, and how to use digital tools that strengthen communication and support healthy neighborhoods.”

Event Overview

Participants are encouraged to bring a laptop or smartphone and come prepared with photos, addresses of concern, or written notes about issues they would like to submit through the city’s reporting tools.

  • Know: Learn where to find information, how to upload photos, and how to properly document concerns using the city website.
  • Act: Follow along in real time as you enter concerns and navigate the city’s digital tools.
  • Transform: Discover how accessible information and engaged residents help build stronger, healthier neighborhoods.

This tutorial is informational and skill-building in nature and is not intended as a forum for airing complaints or grievances.
