Dollar General with really nice landscaping — in Bowling Green, KentuckySeveral things to notice in this photo, which was taken on an affordable housing tour during the Regional Neighborhood Network Conference (RNNC):

  • Fantastic landscaping for both the Dollar General Store & the Napa Auto Parts Store in the background
  • Short street sign for Dollar General – the main sign is on the store, not on the street.
  • Wayfaring sign at the corner.

The 2016 RNNC will be in Champaign/Urbana Sept 30-Oct 1.  Let’s all go and learn what other cities are doing to address problems with landscaping, problem properties, garbage, safety, infrastructure and affordable housing!
